Next up in our series of honoring incredible leaders in our community for #WomensHistoryMonth is Courtney Haller, executive director of marketing and communications. Courtney started her career as a broadcast news producer at KMBC, transitioned to marketing, starting at a nonprofit, and then moved into higher education, where she's been for the last nine years.

When asked about her inspirations, she said, "After suffering from postpartum depression after the birth of my son, I got involved with a national nonprofit advocacy group dedicated to closing gaps in maternal mental health care. The women and mothers that I advocate with inspire me. We’ve all gone through harrowing experiences and now advocate in hopes that other moms will have better experiences. Women are powerful!"

"One of my favorite phrases is, 'one woman’s success is not your failure.' Women have to stick together and celebrate each other, rather compete against each other."
